Enfiiiiiiiiiin Cisco Meraki a mis à jour sa gamme de bornes WiFi avec un modèle de chambre compatible WiFi 6!
Quand on dit “modèle de chambre” qu’entend-t’on par là? Un modèle de borne WiFi dédié au marché de l’hospitality, du coliving et du résidentiel qui inclut un switch.. dans la borne.
Ce modèle de bornes permet avec une seule arrivée RJ45 dans la “chambre” d’alimenter plusieurs autres équipements à son tour. Le but est donc de réduire le coût de câblage ou tout simplement dans les endroits “rétroffités” (= installation de matériel neuf sur une ancienne infrastructure, par exemple sans tirer de nouveaux câbles), d’amener plus de services en chambre (IPTV, VoIP.. IoT).

La MR36H est une borne WiFi bi-bande 802.11ax 2×2:2 (WiFi 6) avec une radio de sécurité dédiée, des ports filaires, une radio dédiée à la gestion des interférences ainsi qu’une puce Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) servant à la fois de beacon et de scanner.
De face elle ressemble à n’importe quelle borne WiFi mais quand l’on regarde en dessous on aperçoit son signe distinctif, les ports Ethernet:
